FAQ

Q: Do you film all day, or just the ceremony and reception?

A: All our packages include at least 8 hours of filming, which is usually enough to capture the bridal preparations through to the dancing. For longer days we offer packages with extended hours.

Q: Are there any hidden charges or extras?

A: No. All of our pricing is completely transparent. All of our packages include all pre-production, production and post production and delivery costs. Even our lowest-cost package includes a 25-minute complete film, beautifully shot, edited and colour graded to the highest professional standard, delivered to you in high-definition.

Q: How much is the deposit to secure our day?

A: We ask for a fixed deposit of 25% to secure the date. We only shoot a limited number of weddings per year and our teams are in high demand, so this ensures the date is locked down exclusively for you.

Q: What is the payment schedule?

A: After the initial deposit of 25%, we require full payment of the balance at least 1 full month before the wedding date.

Q: Do you offer discounts for out-of-season weddings, or weddings on days other than Saturday?

A: Depending on availability. Get in touch to discuss your plans with a member of our team.

Q: When will our film be ready to watch?

A: We aim to deliver all films no later than 5 months after your wedding date. That might seem like a long time, but each of our films is carefully crafted and edited by hand. Because of the time taken to get each film just right, the post-production process can take a while during the busy summer period.

Q: What format will our film be in? How will you deliver it?

A: The way that most of us watch films and TV has changed dramatically over the last few years, and at Olive Grove Films, we offer the very latest streaming technology so you can enjoy your wedding films the way there were intended, in the highest resolution, from anywhere with an internet connection! All of our films are High Definition, and we also offer 4K Ultra High Definition! We will send you a link to your own customised streaming portal, password-protected so it can only be accessed by people you choose. There you will find all of your wedding films presented from a simple to navigate menu, available indefinitely. From there you can also download the films to your own computer hard drive or USB stick for safekeeping.  For our Gold and Platinum clients, we also offer a USB stick containing the finished films in a presentation box. For clients that prefer a physical disk, we offer the possibility of delivery on DVD or Blu-ray.

Q: What music do you use?

A: We have an extensive library of beautifully composed, copyright-cleared music, that we choose from carefully for each project. That means you can be completely comfortable sharing your film on social media (should you wish!), without worrying about copyright issues. We understand how important the sound and music is to the finished film, and only use music that fits the tone of your celebrations. If you want an even more personalised soundtrack, we can even create a custom score for you. Let us know if this is something you would like to consider and we can talk about the different options.

Q: What is High-Definition, Ultra-High Definition, 4K? Are these just buzzwords? I’m confused!

A: If you’re confused then don’t worry, it is confusing! To put it simply: High-definition (or HD), is the current standard resolution for TV production. If you bought a TV in the last 5 years, it’s almost certainly HD, and you will benefit from the extra detail. Ultra-High Definition (also called Ultra-HD and 4K), is a new format that offers 4 times the detail of HD! All modern feature films and even some TV programs are produced in this format. If you have an Ultra-HD TV, you may want to consider our Platinum package which includes Ultra-HD delivery.

Q: I have lots more questions, what should I do?

A: Get in touch with us using our contact form! We aim to reply to all queries within 24 hours, unless it’s a weekend when we may be out filming, in which case we might not get back to you until the day after.
